3D design studio for apps and brands

If you can have more, why not an additional dimension? Avatars, mascots, in-app illustrations, gaming assets and animated videos - 3D is the core of Makata, and the reason most of our clients found us.

What we do

We create 3D characters and worlds for digital products: a panda that lives inside a banking app for teenagers, a pickle who negotiates flash sales for a refurbished-electronics marketplace, a virtual office for remote teams, animated assets that appear in a betting app in real time during the match. Concept art, modelling, rigging, animation and rendering all happen in-house.

Beyond characters, we produce promo and product videos, social-media motion series, launch loops and 3D assets for games and web experiences - including real-time scenes built with our development team.

Who it is for

Consumer apps that want a personality users recognise, fintech and SaaS brands that need to feel warmer than their category, gaming studios that need production capacity, and marketing teams that publish motion content every week. Our 3D work has shipped for teams in France, the US, the UK and Colombia.

How we work

1. Concept

Sketches and mood boards to define the character or world - proportions, materials, expressions, the way it moves. This is where the personality is decided.

2. Modelling and look development

Modelling, texturing, shading and lighting tests. You see turntables and stills before anything is animated.

3. Animation

Rigging and animation for the shots or loops in the brief, with motion tests reviewed early. For in-app assets we deliver expression sets and states, not just one hero pose.

4. Delivery

Renders, video exports, transparent sequences, Lottie or real-time formats - whatever your product or your marketing stack needs - plus the source files.

Questions founders ask

What tools do you use?

Blender for production, After Effects for compositing, and three.js, SceneKit or Unity when the result has to run in real time.

Can 3D assets live inside our app without hurting performance?

Yes. We deliver optimised formats - sprite sequences, Lottie, compressed video with alpha, or glTF for real-time - and we test them where they will actually run.

How long does a mascot take?

A first character with a small set of expressions typically takes three to five weeks. A full promo video with story, characters and environments runs six to ten.
